Long Rifle Lodge Built in 1975, Long Rifle Lodge overlooks the 27 mile long Matanuska Glacier. We are only two hours from Anchorage on the Glenn Hwy, a recently desiginated scenic byway. In addition to our deliciously satisfying burgers, steaks, Alaskan seafood and appetizers, we specialize in homemade soups, pies, and pastries. The Washington Post voted our chili the “best bowl of chili” in Alaska! On top of our home made meals we also run a fully stocked bar. We sell gas, propane, ice, firewood, fishing licences and many other necessities for a great vacation!
